What does leaving a trail mean?
Trails is a map feature that lets you drop a short note or photo at your location. At a concert, walking by the sea or at your favorite café — leave a trail there and people nearby can see it on the map.
Gone in 24 hours
Every trail disappears automatically after 24 hours, so the map always stays fresh and your past locations never pile up. Seeing what people around you shared today is a natural way to start a conversation.
How is your privacy protected?
We only ask for location access when you leave a trail or open the map. We recommend not leaving trails at places that could identify you, like your home or office; anonymous accounts can't leave trails and inappropriate images are removed by moderators.
Leave a trail with a photo
When leaving a trail you can pick a photo from your gallery or take one with the camera right away. Personalize it with drawings, text and emoji in the photo editor.
Use it together with Discover
When a trail catches your eye, open its owner's profile, check your compatibility and send a like or a message. It might be the most fun way to meet people near you.
